The Grammy’s Got It Wrong

Taylor Swift and Album of the Year doesn’t really compute for me. I think Beyonce deserved it more or even John Legend, but Swift? Uhmm no not really. I know she had a few hit singles, but as a record overall I don’t think it had the quality that makes up a Grammy for Album of the Year. Now an album worthy of such an award is “Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King” from Dave Matthews Band.
They are entering their 20th year and have already been labeled one of the best touring bands of all time. If you haven’t checked them out in concert, then you can download a show for free (courtesy of the band allowing tapers) or do yourself a favor and buy a ticket. This album is a great representation of what DMB brings to the music community – depth, energy, and a tremendous talent of telling a story through lyrics and melody.
