Favre Couldn’t Hold On

football party2The loss Minnesota Vikings suffered against the New Orleans Saints can’t be heaped all on Brett Favre’s shoulders, but he will get most of the attention. He really put his heart and soul into the game yesterday and you could tell the inner turmoil he was dealing with after throwing that interception with just seconds to go in regulation. The Saints had to go into overtime to put the final nail in the Vikings season and it was bittersweet.

You have to respect what the Saints have accomplished. They spent most of the season undefeated and when it was time to play they came eager and ready. The 31-28 score wasn’t as close as some might think because the Saints defense had the Vikings scrambling and limping most of the game.

Like I said, it was hard to see Favre go out like that, but he’s a hall of famer no matter what.
