Holiday Event in Smyrna: Coming Home for the Holidays
It’s always a great feeling to come home for the holidays. You know what’s awaiting you, good food, family, and fun times! You can’t forget about the holiday traditions! But for those of you that don’t really have traditions or are looking to start new ones, you don’t have to look no further than your own backyard. Join the city of Smyrna for their Coming Home for the Holidays event on November 30th, 2010!
The event takes place on the Village Green from 6 pm until 9 pm. Holiday festivities will be at the Smyrna Community Center and all around. Bring the entire family for all of it and ring in the season downtown! Maybe the most celebrated event is the lighting of the tree at 7 pm. While hordes of people will be shuffling to downtown Atlanta to see the Macy’s Tree Lighting, you can beat the crowds and stay close to home! Granted, the two are being lit on two different nights with the Macy’s lighting Thanksgiving evening, but the crowd will still be immense.
So you can see the tree lighting minutes from your Tamarron Apartment door step, or drive about 20 minutes to see the Macy’s Great Tree. Your choice!
