Many of us dwell in apartments for different reasons. Some do it to downsize, others do it to get a start somewhere. Whatever the reason, the time time period in which people rent apartments should help them with saving money.

On top of the fixed amount you put into savings, our living habits can also save us dollars now/later. Here’s what we mean:

• Invest in a security system–most apartments are pre-wired for an alarm system. Getting it monitored, will cost us monthly, but outweighs the cost of having our homes burglarizes and/or possessions stolen.  In the same token, get renter’s or property insurance to protect your valuables.
• Find an apartment close to work–Living at Tamarron at Vinings puts you 10 minutes from everything–Downtown, Dunwoody, Marietta and all major interstates. Carpool or better yet, find plenty of job fields in Cobb where you can walk or catch the MARTA.
• Negotiate Utilities and Service Charges–It’s been an unspoken truth, but for first time customers, or even loyal customers, you can negotiate your premium charges for things like your cable bill and your cell phone bill. Services like this have offers that change daily; residents can negotiate to pay the same price as a new customer for a period of time, hence saving money.
